Inspired by a high school teammate forced to quit sports due to a late concussion diagnosis, our founder launched a startup to connect athletes who have sustained a head injury with more timely medical care. Joined by equally motivated biomedical engineers, traumatic brain injury specialists, neuro-ophthalmologists, and business mentors, at Johns Hopkins, the venture has since evolved into Locaze LLC. Together, our team's core mission is to establish an effective method for athletic trainers and physicians to more accurately and confidently diagnose concussions to preserve athlete/patient safety and reduce the avoidable burden of undiagnosed head injuries.
